low back pain

The majority of low back pain forms over ninety percent of cases and is classified as non specific. This means there is no specific diagnosis hence exercise and lifestyle change being the order of the day. There are three classifications of low back pain. Specific spinal pathology, nerve root/radicular and non specific. Fixing low back pain is approached by not only exercise, but learning how to exercise properly and with good form. Functional movement is crucial as is the whole body approach. We dont just deal with the back where it hurts but teach you what is needed to make progress.

Obesity and diabetes are on the rise and exercise and nutrition play a role in effective management and improvement. Both are complex health conditions with many possible complications that can tie in with other ailments such as low back pain. Obesity or overweight has classifications of seriousness that can be tackled with an appropriate program. Diabetics also benefit with exercise from increasing insulin sensitivity to glucose control, athough type two is more common and commonly associated with being overweight. At Graham Fit Personal Training we work with you to provide exercise programming that is personalised to help you progress safely. The key to progress is consistency of healthier habits.

Nutrition goes hand in hand with exercise. A major issue today is people looking for quick fixes in fatloss and being sold fad diets. These can be dangerous and provide no longevity on how to eat healthy. Here, we provide qualified and sound knowledge on nutrition that encourages changes in small steps as oppose to an all out drastic change which in reality doesnt work. Weight managment requires a logical approach that is often a longer term goal that needs a structure.
